LG Electronics officially took the wraps off its much-rumored T Pad 8.3 tablet.
The electronics maker will debut the latest addition to its G series at IFA 2013 in Berlin next week, the company announced Sunday.
The new tablet, which weighs less than a pound, will sport a 8.3-inch WUXGA display (1920x1200 pixels), a quad-core 1.7Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, and a 4600mAh battery. It also will feature a 5 megapixel camera rear-facing and 1.3MP front camera.
The keyboard G will ship with the Android operating system kernel 4.2.2 Jelly and have 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. It will be available in black and white.
It's been over a year since LG has launched a new tablet, and the company said the G Pad 8.3 is based on the recent launch of the "G2 LG superphone, LG increased commitment to leadership in advanced mobile devices to products through their first series G. "
LG said that the tablet will launch in North America, Europe, Asia and other key markets in the fourth quarter of 2013. The company did not disclose pricing details, but said to be announced at launch.
